
There was nothing super about Super Bowl weekend for Hollywood.
The studios put no new players on the boxoffice gridiron, leaving indies to mop up ticket sales from those who weren’t partying and watching the Big Game.
Disney/20th Century Studios’ SEND HELP held on to first place in weekend two with $10M (-48%), per Comscore, at 3,475 theatres ($2,878). It’s done $35.8M domestic and $53.7M worldwide. BUDGET BUZZ: $40M to produce.
The PG rom-com SOLO MIO from Angel/A Higher Standard’s opened #2 to $7.2M at 3,052 theatres ($2,359), per Comscore. It’s tracking for first choice below norm with all demos. Rotten Tomatoes critics are okay at 78% and audiences are delighted at 95%.
Directed by Charles Kinnane & Daniel Kinnane (co-directors of HOME TEAM), it stars Kevin James.
Domestic ticket sales were $61.7M, according to Comscore Head of Marketplace Trends Paul Dergarabedian. That’s down 28.9% from the prior weekend, but up 10% vs. this time last year. Comscore’s year to date tally has 2026 at $748.8M, up 9.75% from $682.3M in 2025. The prior weekend had 2026 up 11.78% vs. 2025.
Meanwhile, back at the multiplexes: Markiplier Studios’ IRON LUNG was #3 with $6M (-67%) in weekend two at 2,916 theatres ($2,058). It’s done $31M domestic. BUDGET BUZZ: $3M to produce.
Bleecker Street/Crosswalk’s K-pop concert film STRAY KIDS: THE DOMINATE EXPERIENCE opened fourth to $5.6M at 1,724 theatres ($3,228). Rotten Tomatoes audiences love it at 100%.
Vertical Entertainment’s R rated fantasy DRACULA opened #5 to $4.5M at 2,050 theatres ($2,198). Rotten Tomatoes critics are thumbs down at 56% and audiences are an okay 79%.
Lionsgate’s R rated thriller THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 3 opened #7 (tied with AVATAR 3) to $3.5M at 2,565 theatres ($1,365). Rotten Tomatoes critics hate it at 18% and audiences are unhappy at 51%.
Amazon MGM Studios’ PG documentary MELANIA was #10 in weekend two with $2.38M (-67%) at 2,003 theatres, up 225 locations ($1,188). It’s done $13.4M domestic. BUDGET BUZZ: Amazon paid $40M for the rights plus $35M for marketing.
Next weekend (2/13/26) 🐝🐝🐝🐝: Amazon MGM Studios’ R rated crime thriller CRIME 101 is opening at about 3,000 theatres. It’s tracking best for first choice with women over 25 (one point over norm). Directed by Bart Layton (THE IMPOSTER), it stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan & Halle Berry.
. Warner Bros./Lie Still’s R rated romance WUTHERING HEIGHTS is opening at about 3,500 theatres. It’s tracking best for first choice with women over 25 (six points over norm). It’s directed 7 written by Emerald Fennell (PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN).
