Exhibitors saw MK2 as a much needed fall title that could put some sizzle back into the multiplexes. After a disappointing summer season, exhibs need all the help they can possibly get to make it through the fall. Pushing the high potential MK2 into spring ’26 will likely bring WB bigger grosses, but it’s now become one more challenge to survival for exhibs.
