Now playing below — our HELLO FROM HOLLYWOOD early look at DOWNTON ABBEY: THE GRAND FINALE 🐝🐝🐝🐝 from Focus Features & Carnival Films. In FINALE, opening in theatres 9/12/25, it’s the 1930’s as the Crawley Family and staff must embrace change and move into the future.

Directed by Simon Curtis (MY WEEK WITH MARILYN), its screenplay is by Julian Fellowes (DOWNTON ABBEY). Once again, the much acclaimed ensemble cast returns — including Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery & Jim Carter, but sadly missing Dame Maggie Smith, who passed away 9/27/24 and whose character, the Dowager Countess of Grantham, died at the end of the franchise’s second episode, DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA.

ERA, which opened 5/20/22, did $92.7M worldwide on a production budget of $40M. Look for the new DA3 to bring the series’ loyal adult female audience back to the multiplexes to help get the fall season buzzing for exhibitors.
