. Exhibitors are primed for the arrival — finally! — of Disney/Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD at about 4,000 theatres. It looks like the boxoffice shot-in-the arm exhibitors desperately need. Hollywood handicappers are projecting $95M for the four day Presidents Day/Valentine’s Day weekend.

Directed by Julius Onah (LUCE), it stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America & Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross/Red Hulk. BRAVE’s tracking through the roof for first choice with over-25 men (30 points over norm) and next best with over-25 men (29 points over norm).

. Sony/Studio Canal’s PG rated comedy adventure PADDINGTON IN PERU will open at about 3,700theatres. Directed by Dougal Wilson (first theatrical feature), its voice stars include Ben Whishaw as Paddington & Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy. PADDINGTON’s tracking best for first choice with under-25 women (three points above norm). Rotten Tomatoes critics are cheering at 93%.
